We are a network of highly trained teachers using the Classical Pilates Method to challenge you physically, increasing your strength, flexibility and control, giving you the resilience you need when it really matters. Come and work out with us in Colyton and in community venues across East Devon.
With us, your workouts will take advantage of the full Pilates Method. That includes working out on the famous Reformer, plus all sorts of other apparatus, big and small, that Mr Pilates devised for his method of spring resistance training: The Cadillac, The Wunda Chair, The Foot Corrector and so much more. You’ll also learn bodyweight exercises on the Mat, which you can practise at home between sessions or in a Group Practice in one of our community locations or on Zoom.
We focus on building strength and stretch simultaneously, and most importantly control. In fact Mr Pilates called his method "Contrology", the art and science of control. The name didn’t last, but his method most certainly did. It’s almost 100 years since Mr Pilates opened his New York studio and we still look to his original teachings and apparatus as the basis of our work. Pilates’ genius in devising a methodical full-body workout is revealed in its results. Our students are hooked!
