Start with a spring (on the apparatus)…
Solid foundations are the key to building something strong and long-lasting, right? That’s why we recommend starting with a series of individual 1-1 sessions when you join us. Ideally, that’s on the apparatus, including Joseph Pilates’ Universal Reformer and the rest of the sprung apparatus, to start building your control, strength and flexibility.
The following session types are a great way to get started with us, whether you’re new to Pilates or perhaps delving into the apparatus for the first time. For a seasoned practitioner looking for a new teacher, we highly recommend we get to know each other with some 1-1 training first and then you can progress to sharing your session.

The ideal starting point with us, whether you’re completely new to Pilates, or just new to us or the apparatus. We’ll start to build you a fully tailored programme to work towards your goals, meeting you wherever you are in your Pilates journey. We’ll work with the full range of Classical apparatus including the Reformer, Cadillac, chairs, barrels and mat.
Pay per session or buy a package of sessions.

We’ll work with all the Classical Pilates apparatus, including the Reformer, Cadillac and a selection of chairs and barrels as well as the mat.
Because these are shared sessions, they’re suitable for those who are generally fit and healthy without injuries or medical conditions that require special movement modifications.
Pay per course for a fixed date range.

These group classes on the mat are open to beginners and those returning to their Pilates practice after a break. You’ll mostly work on the same exercises all together, but we will offer you modifications and progressions to suit your current experience and to progress within the class structure at your own pace.
Because these are shared sessions, they’re suitable for those who are generally fit and healthy without injuries or medical conditions that require special movement modifications. Class sizes vary depending on location, no more than 10 people.
Pay per course for a fixed time period.

Progress your foundations…
Once you’re becoming confident with your introductory programme, you’ll be ready to share an apparatus-based session or add a progressing mat class to your weekly schedule. These sessions are perfect to deepen your practice, gain more independence and ownership of your workout, and to progress at the level and rate that’s right for you.
-
These sessions are semi-private workouts for up to 3 or 4 people, essentially simultaneous 1-1 sessions with one teacher. You’re confident with setting up the apparatus and really familiar with your current workout and can take cues to deepen your work whilst you’re moving.
Sessions are mixed level so everyone works and progresses at their appropriate pace.
Pay per session or buy a package.
Open Practice sessions currently scheduled at the Colyton Mill Pilates Studio:
Katharine Monday - Friday
Rachel Sat, Sun, Mon, Tues, Weds
