A small group Pilates apparatus session for those who are new to the Classical Pilates equipment. These sessions are an introduction to working on the apparatus and using springs as resistance. You will use the studio equipment including the Reformers.

Classical Pilates Mat Class- for 7 people.
A foundation level class on the mat focusing on strengthening the abdominal muscles and spine and moving from this strong centre. You will develop and move through a sequence of exercises from Joe Pilates's original mat exercises that stretch, strengthen and stabilise the whole body.

About Rachel
Rachel rejoined us in September ‘24, fresh from teaching at some of London’s most highly regarded Classical Pilates studios, including New York Pilates London and Pi Studio Battersea. She’s teaching from the new Colyton Mill Studio, offering Private 1-1 and small group workouts.
Rachel became a full-time Pilates teacher in 2005, certified with Bob Liekens through Power Pilates in New York City. Whilst living in the USA, she taught at the Power Pilates head quarters in New York and across the Washington DC area.
In her years of teaching Pilates, Rachel has studied with and taken workshops from some of the Pilates world’s most influential Classical Pilates teachers, including Jay Grimes, Kathy Ross Nash, Cary Regan, Mejo Wiggins, Peter Fiasca, Dorothee VandeWalle, Michelle Larsen and Alicia Ungaro.
Rachel's approach to teaching is compassionate, understanding the individual’s goals, needs and physical ability. You will move, have fun and feel great after your workout!
Originally from Manchester, Rachel trained as a classical ballet dancer and had a 17 year career as a professional dancer.
